My dad is a man with many, many hobbies. For his 65th birthday, we made cupcakes that marked all the different things that he does! Passing out the cupcakes was a lot of fun as my dad read the labels and assigned cupcakes. We called dibs on certain cupcakes, based on our personal interests and connections with my dad. Fun birthday celebration! 5.27.2011
How could I forget one of my favorite cakes?! My mom, Nancy, "retired" in 2009, so we celebrated with a fun Fancy Nancy inspired retirement party! She loved her cake!! 5.2009
I made this cake for a retirement party for two Kindergarten teachers. The theme was "From Kinder'garden' to Quiet Gardens." It was inspired by Lois Ehlert's Planting a Rainbow. I love the artwork in this book and was very excited to design a cake that mimicked the work! The large red flower was my favorite one. :) 5.19.2011
